Grace Fabiano

Head Coach 15 Black

We are excited to have Grace a Right Side Hitter from Regis College leading our 15 Black team in her first season with UVC!

As a coach, Grace values the competitive and dynamic nature of the game. One of her favorite drills "Queens of the Court" drill, fosters a sense of teamwork and strategic play.

Grace understands the complexity and impact of defense on the game and believes that "you win with defense," underlining the importance of a solid defensive foundation in securing victories. We are looking forward to watching her success this season!

Nicole Benton

Assistant Coach 15 Blue

Nicole is a versatile Rightside Hitter/Defensive Specialist with a passion for the game. Nicole brings a fresh perspective and a dedication to fostering growth on and off the court.

In coaching, Nicole values the strategy of the game. She enjoys running combinations of hitting lines with blocking and passing, emphasizing the importance of a well-rounded skill set for success on the court.

Caitlyn Jones

Head Coach 15 Blue

Coach Caitlyn will be joining our 15 Blue coaching staff and we are very excited to have her working with our athletes this season! As a former Middle/Outside hitter she has a good understanding of the game and coaches at the high school level in the off season.

Caitlyn’s favorite drill is either pit drill or baseball, both drills that encourage high energy and communication!

Outside of the gym her favorite food is a good sandwich and in her free time you can find her binging her favorite movie High School Musical 3!

Assistant Coach 15 National

Sammy is a Pin Hitter from DI Stonehill College who transitioned to coaching at MVVC and nationally ranked St. Francis HS in California.

As a player, she was part of the 2022 All-League WCAL team and secured a Bronze Medal at the 2021 USAV GJNC. Her 2022 season saw numerous triumphs, including a CIF Open Division State Championship Runners-Up, CIF Northern California Champions, CCS Champions, and WCAL Champions with SFHS Varsity Volleyball boasting a remarkable 34-1 record.

In coaching, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a winning mindset. One of her favorite drills is the strategic and engaging "Columbus," designed to enhance player skills while fostering teamwork and strategic play.

Head Coach 15 Northeast

Toni is a skilled Libero/Defensive specialist from Regis college who will be leading our 15 northeast team this season! She is returning to UVC for her 3rd season and we are very excited to have her on our staff again this season!

Toni brings great energy in the gym and pushes her athletes to get a little bit better every day.

Hope is an accomplished player and dedicated coach with a specialization in Outside and Libero positions from Lasell University.

With two years of coaching experience she is returning to coach with us this season with a winning mindset and a commitment to excellence to our team. One of her preferred drills is the dynamic and strategic "6's Snake," designed to challenge players and enhance teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Rita is an accomplished Middle from Regis College, currently in her third year of coaching with UVC.

As a player, she was part of the GNAC runner-up team and earning distinctions as 2nd and 3rd team all GNAC, showcasing her dedication and skill on the court.

In coaching, she aims to share her knowledge and love for the game with the team. One of her favorite drills is the dynamic and strategic "Tennis," designed to enhance skills while fostering teamwork and agility.

Rita understands the tactical side of the sport, knowing that a smart tip/roll can be more effective than a hard swing and challenges her players to not only play hard but play smart as well!

Emily Emmett

Head Coach 15 Navy

Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the game and we are very excited to have her leading our 15 Navy team this season!

Emily looks to inspire players to embrace the challenge and find the joy in the game. Her passion for the sport shows through in the way that she runs drills and connects with players.

Off the court you can find her enjoying her favorite food of sushi or binging Lord of the Rings!

Deigo Harrison

Diego is an accomplished Middle/Right-side Hitter from Dean College who transitioned seamlessly into coaching with an impressive five years of experience .

His playing journey includes notable achievements, including winning the CAL State championship, an especially memorable moment as he played and shared this win with his younger brother. His commitment to success and teamwork show through his energy in the gym and the way he works with his players!

In the training sessions, Diego finds particular joy in the engaging and strategic "Volleyball Tennis" drill, which adds an element of fun and competitiveness to our pursuit of excellence.

Amaya Parnell

We are so excited to have Amaya, a setter from DI Stonehill College, bringing her 4 years of coaching experience to lead our 15 national team this season!

As a player, she was named the 2022 Boston Globe - Massachusetts Division I Athlete of the Year and led her high school team to the 2022 MIAA Division 1 State Championship where they finished 2nd in the state.. Additionally, she had the distinction of attending the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championship four times with her Oregon club team - Athena Volleyball Academy.

In coaching, Amaya brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. One of her favorite drills, the engaging "Wash Table," aims to refine skills while fostering a sense of teamwork and strategic play.

Sophia is a skilled setter for the Boston Hurricanes, bringing her expertise to and two years of coaching experience to UVC. Sophia embraces the dynamic and team-oriented approach, emphasizing precision, adaptability, and a passion for the game. Her favorite drill, "Butterfly," encourages players to hone their skills while fostering a sense of unity.

Mckenna brings four years of coaching in her 3rd season with UVC and will be leading our 15 Pink team this season! She has coached prior UVC teams to a top 3 finish in the champions league and is excited to be returning this season.

Mckenna truly values versatility in players which is reflected in the "Tennis" drill which is one of her favorite drills. She believes that being proficient in multiple skills outweighs excelling in just one aspect of the game. We are excited to have her working with our athletes this upcoming season!

David is a seasoned player and coach with a diverse background in various positions, including outside and setter roles, spanning high school, club, college, and adult club play.

With a wealth of coaching experience in youth sports, he brings a holistic perspective to player development, emphasizing teamwork, skill refinement, and a passion for the game.

As a player who has navigated multiple positions, David’s coaching philosophy centers on versatility and adaptability, recognizing the importance of well-rounded players on the court.

When it comes to drills, he is particularly enthusiastic about anything tailored for middle players, recognizing their unique role in shaping the game!

We are very excited to have Kaity joining us this season leading our 15 White team! Kaity played as both an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist at Hartwick College and draws on her experiences as a versatile player.

Kaity understands that being a fluid and adaptable athlete is a major key to success on the court. This philosophy permeates her coaching style, emphasizing the importance of versatility and quick thinking.

Some of Kaity’s favorite drills including"Half Court 2v2," are designed to sharpen skills in a condensed space, fostering agility, communication, and strategic play.

In her time off the court you’ll find her enjoying her favorite food of dried mangos and binging Harry Potter!

Coach McKenna has been playing volleyball for 13 years, with exposure to over 30 coaches throughout her volleyball career.

At Mount Holyoke College, Coach McKenna held multiple leadership positions in the team and was ultimately named senior captain. These various leadership positions gave her vital skills in managing a team and creating a positive team culture. Under her leadership, she oversaw the experience and integration of 6 first years into the team, 4 of which became full time starters.

In the 2022-2023 season, Coach McKenna led the MHC volleyball team to their first winning season in 30 years and the program's first win over a NESCAC team in decades.
